Carole and Emma's visit to Boston

Carole and Emma came to visit Ehrin and April this past weekend. We had a fun time visiting Plymouth, MA, where the pilgrams had first landed some 390 years ago. We stopped by the plymouth rock, which was surprisingly much smaller than what April had expected-- did the rock got eroded through the years? We then visited the May Flower II, where we also witnessed a live demonstration of ocean-rescue by the U.S. coast guard. We then went over to the Plymouth Plantation, where we visited the Native American site as well as the Pilgrim's village site. Emma climbed onto a big cannon for a photo-op. The day was a lot of fun, ending with a satisfying meal at Woodman's of Essex, where we chowed down on clams and lobster. During Carole and Emma's trip, we had learned all about "American Girl" Dolls, where Emma showed us her very own "Yvonna", where the doll is dressed exactly like Emma, even down to the hair scrunchie! Amazing.... April also heard the Super Diaper Baby story, read by Emma, twice, and she still has images of Deputy Doo Doo turning into a turd.
